Rosalie Belanger-Rioux from the Harvard Math Department hosted a chance to explore some intriguing issues to do with what it means to be “average”! We looked at various ways of describing data (using means, medians, modes and standard deviations), at ways one can be fooled by simplistic descriptions of data, and explore better ways to do this!
